COVID-19 resp. SARS-CoV-2 is an acute respiratory infectious disease not yet proven by all kinds of consequences after the disease. Based on current epidemiological research and investigation, the incubation period is 1 to 14 days, often 3 to 7 days. The main symptoms include fever, fatigue and dry cough. In several cases, nasal congestion, runny nose, sore throat, myalgia and diarrhea may occur. The symptoms in individual patients may vary and their extent is constantly expanding due to the further spread of mutations in this disease and new patient studies.

The sample taken may contain antigen concentrations below the sensitivity threshold of the reagent, so that a negative test result does not rule out infection with new coronavirus. A negative result may occur if the antigen concentration in the sample is below the detection limit of the test or if the sample was collected or transported incorrectly, therefore a negative test result does not rule out the possibility of SARS-CoV-2 infection. In case of symptoms of the disease, have the negative result confirmed by a professional laboratory and by viral culture or PCR test.
Negative test results are not intended to detect coronavirus infection other than SARS-CoV-2.
