Electronic water hardness and salinity meter. This tester will be useful in everyday life when checking the purity of drinking water and in other applications (e.g. aquariums or laboratory tests). The device is very easy to use - just remove the cap, immerse the electrodes in the water to be tested. The built-in LCD display enables accurate and clear measurement of water hardness (its contamination with inorganic compounds) and its temperature. It does not require external power sources (mains), but only one CR2032 battery, which makes it extremely mobile and safe in contact with water. Product Features: The water hardness meter allows you to check the level of contamination of your water with inorganic substances. The meter is scaled in "ppm" values - parts per million, which is the most popular method of determining the amount of chemical compounds dissolved in water. The less contaminated the water is, the lower its electrical conductivity will be. Raw, unfiltered water can show a result as high as 200 PPM or higher. The EC conductivity of water can be considered as an indicator of salt content, waters containing few ions have a low electrical conductivity, while e.g. seawater has a very high conductivity. A commonly used unit of water conductivity is μS/cm (= micro-Siemens/cm). Fresh water or pond water should have a conductivity between 300 and 1200 μS/cm. The measurement result is read on an easy-to-read LCD display. You can immediately check if the water is safe for drinking and other uses. The operation of the tester is fabulously simple - just immerse the electrode in water and the measurement result immediately appears on the reader. Built-in physical function buttons for easy use.
