Starting with an entry-level scenario, players build different cities with unique buildings and structures in each game of Cities Skylines. At the beginning, the players are faced with an undeveloped area. They build the first residential, commercial and industrial areas and gradually open up new districts. In doing so, they have to take into account key factors such as the environment, crime, traffic flow and education, use their financial resources together in a planned manner and, of course, keep the population happy. Unlike the digital scenario, the board game is cooperative: everyone develops the city together and has to coordinate well in order to advance the development as skillfully as possible.
