In Element City, numerous beings descended from one of the four elements of water, earth, air and fire live together in a heap. However, the quick-witted fire girl Ember Lumen (voice: Leah Lewis) and the casual water boy Wade Ripple (Mamoudou Athie) can't do much with each other at first. They think they are too different. Something like friendship seems an impossibility. Fire and water together, how is that supposed to work? But then the two spend more and more time together. In the process, they realize that they may have a lot more in common than they first thought – and that it's about more than just friendship.
