The time has come! The development of the jump drive has opened the race to colonize the entire galaxy. Former colonies of the Earth set out in Race for the Galaxy to found powerful space empires. Along the way, they open up new worlds, develop new technologies and come across the artifacts of the Alien Overlords, a civilization that has mysteriously disappeared. Each round, the games simultaneously and secretly choose one of their action cards and reveal it: discovering, settling, developing, trading, consuming or producing – what is most important? Only the action phases of revealed cards are dealt with, but may then be used by all players. Whoever is best able to use the choice of action of the other players for himself is one step ahead. The game shines in particular with its strongly interwoven map functions over the phases, which repeatedly present players with difficult decisions.
