The Celtic prince of the Glauberg in the Wetterau has died. Now, four families compete for power and influence by tapping into the surrounding region and trading with foreign countries. Because only the leader of the most influential family will become the next Celtic prince. In Celtic, the active player moves one or more family members of his color from a location of his choice one or two squares further. All other players may decide to let their own family members travel with them. Destination maps show from which places your own family needs things. If there are family members in all locations of a target card, the player is allowed to fulfill the target card. Each fulfilled goal card brings influence. The procurement of exotic trade goods from the north or the Mediterranean region also increases the influence – the rarer, the better. Once a player completes their fifth target card or collects all seven trade goods, the game ends.
