The VIPOW 12 V / 17 Ah Gel Battery has become an alternative to classic lead-acid batteries. Unlike the latter, gel models are maintenance-free batteries. This means that they do not require electrolyte replenishment. What works in their favor is the hermetic housing and the electrolyte in gel form. This guarantees that it will not leak, allowing the battery to be stored in any position and making it more shock-resistant. Longevity of the gel battery One of the biggest advantages of gel batteries is their lifespan. Among those available on the market, this type is characterized by the longest lifespan, as it can last even several years when properly used. Importantly, gel batteries also exhibit greater resistance to variable and extreme weather conditions. Automatic self-discharge (25°C) Gel batteries can be stored for many months without the need for charging.
