This guarantees that it will not leak, allowing the battery to be stored in any position and making it more resistant to shocks. Durability of Gel Battery One of the biggest advantages of gel batteries is their lifespan. Among those available on the market, this type is characterized by the longest life, as with proper use it can last even several years. Importantly, gel batteries also have higher resistance to changing and extreme weather conditions. Automatic self-discharge (25°C) Gel batteries can be stored for many months without charging. Their capacity drops to: 91% after 3 months 82% after 6 months 64% after 9 months. Selection of Gel Battery The correct size is not everything. When selecting a battery, attention should be paid to its capacity - it should not be greater than 110% or less than 90% of the capacity recommended for the device you plan to power.
