DEMINERALIZED WATER 5L - description
✅ DEMINERALIZED WATER is specially treated water that has been devoid of both minerals and other contaminants, such as organic compounds or microorganisms. It is water of very high purity
Demineralized water is usually water devoid of mineral salts by reverse osmosis or ion exchange. Ion exchange is a process that uses the ability to reversibly convert one ion into another. It is based on the unique chemical properties of water molecules. This process is fully stoichiometric and therefore reversible. Substances that have the ability to exchange ions are the so-called ion exchangers or ion exchangers. In practice, water treatment consists in combining ion exchanger with a solution under dynamic conditions. This means that the water flows through a stationary tank with ion exchangers.
Demineralized water is produced in two stages. First, it is decanized by exchanging all the cations for hydrogen ion and then demineralized.
➡️ The following are examples of the use of water:
Housework - water is perfect for everyday household chores, having the aforementioned acidity with a pH value of 5.5. This means that it effortlessly removes dirt on every conceivable flat surface without leaving streaks on it. It is worth noting that after washing with demineralized water, the surface acquires a special electrostatic charge. This significantly increases its resistance to further dirt.
For the production of medicines – Distilled water is often used as an ingredient in the production of medicines because it is free of contaminants and microbes, which minimizes the risk of contamination of pharmaceutical products.
In laboratories – Distilled water is used in laboratories to prepare solutions where pure water, free of impurities, is essential.
In the cosmetics industry – Distilled water is often used in the production of cosmetics and skin care products because it is pure and free of contaminants.
For filling batteries – Distilled water is used to fill car batteries and other electrical appliances because it is clean and does not contain contaminants that could affect the performance of the device.
For cleaning medical devices – Distilled water is often used to clean medical devices such as surgical instruments because it is free of bacteria and other microbes.
In aquariums - Distilled water is sometimes used in aquariums to avoid contamination of the water by unwanted chemicals that may be present in tap water.
It is important to note that distilled water does not contain any nutrients and electrolytes that are essential for human health, so it should not be used as a source of drinking water.
