Magnastorm is a large tactical worker placement game set on a distant planet of the same name. The players take over one of 4 power blocks of the earth and try to skillfully use their large raw material mining machines, the so-called turtles, on the planet Magnastorm. Each turn, they have the choice of either performing a simple action or buying influence over a helpful commander. Since every simple action reduces the cost of exerting influence, it is important to find the right time to take over a commander. The goal of the game is to be the first to collect a predetermined number of reputation points: by taking over commanders, fulfilling missions and skillfully proceeding on the planet.
