Corrseist Johan Gottfried Spieshofer and merchant Michael Brown founded the Corset Factory in 1886 with six workers and six sewing machines.
Each product was handmade from the barn in Heubache, Germany in the Kingdom of Wurtemberg. Then, as now, the basic principle was to offer beautiful and high quality underwear, the comfort and support of which improved the quality of life of women. Spieshofer & Braun started selling in 1892. to England, one of their first export markets.
